Jennifer Bartlett: History of the Universe–Works 1970–2011

Produced to accompany an exhibition presented at the Parrish Art Museum and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, this volume includes an interview with the artist and an excerpt from History of the Universe, Bartlett’s first novel, giving further insight into the thought processes of this uniquely creative artist. The cover, with stiff board pasted front and back on a paperbound bind is a direct nod to Bartlett’s metal squared enamel paintings.

Published by the Parrish Art Museum and Yale University Press, 2013, 104 pages, 29.2 × 28 cm, 50 color + 110 b/w illustrations, sewn, paper on mounted board, flush cut and mounted to paperbound structure.
